Gifty Appiah is a dynamic professional in the field of sports for development and social change, with a robust academic and professional background. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Sport Studies from the University of Ghana and is currently completing her Erasmus Mundus International Master’s in Governance and Administration of Leisure and Sport in Europe. With her strong passion for leveraging sports as a tool for societal impact, Gifty actively engages in initiatives that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). 

Gifty is an IOC Young Leader and has worked on creating an impactful project with the support from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leaders Programme, focusing on using sports to foster social inclusion and gender, her project RightSet Ghana, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering underprivileged children in Ghana through sports is collaborating with vibrant community stakeholders to achieve this vision.
